Following traverse first release a few months ago, the label is back with an opus from Paraguayan artist Qetsy. He describes Ectoplasma as the closest he ever got to a concept album. The whole atmosphere is set through a poem written by the producer himself, and guides us during the full listening. “I wanted to keep exploring the aesthetics of the paranormal, filtered through my music.” The 11-track album blends the producer’s influences, starting from early ones such as progressive rock as well as 160bpm rhythms and Chicago footwork, and his fascination for sampling.

“In an old warehouse, long forgotten,
Their feet echoing on the concrete floor,
A group of kids found an ancient machine,
Its design ornate, its purpose unclear.

With trembling hands, they pressed the button,
And out of the speakers came a sound,
A pulsating beat, a rhythm hypnotic,
That made their hearts and bodies pound.

The music took them on a journey,
Through realms both dark and light,
Visions of landscapes and cultures,
In a universe beyond sight.

The melody surged and ebbed like the ocean,
The bassline rumbled like thunder,
As the music pulled them deeper,
Into a world both wild and wonder.

The beats swirled like leaves in the wind,
Their souls caught in the magic spell,
As they danced with abandon and freedom,
In a realm where the music would dwell.

And as they emerged from this trance,
With their spirits lifted high,
They knew they had been transformed,
By the power of the music and its cybernetic sigh.”
